Lexus GX460 & GX470: Off Road SUV Sleepers

Despite a luxury SUV stereotype, the Lexus GX470 and newer GX460 have the potential to be serious off road SUV’s after some key performance suspension upgrades. With 4Runner underpinnings, both GX models quickly transform into legit off roaders thanks to the Toyota experts at Total Chaos Fabrication.

Our Lexus GX460 and GX470 tour the trails on pre-running missions and surf the dunes of Glamis with ease. Both GX’s are outfitted with stock length upper control arms, lower control arms, KING shocks, and every reinforcement component we offer including spindle gussets and alignment cam tab gussets. These rigs have never let us down in the dirt!

Having just spent 8 days off road logging 2,000 miles prerunning sections of the 2022 Rebelle Rally course, the GX460 was put through its paces. Reliability is the name of the game when rally founder Emily Miller and TC co-owner Nicole Pitell hit the California & Nevada mountains and deserts to plot the annual all-women’s event.
