The TOTAL CHAOS equipped Toyota Prado driven by Team Latrach acing/AutoGasco finishes 2nd in the hybrid class of cars at the 2011 DAKAR Rally and earns a respectable 25th place finish overall . The 2nd place finish earned Team Latrach Racing the highest placing honors obtained by a Chilean entry in the car category. Their accomplishments did not stop there, the ASO will also honor John Paul as being the youngest driver to complete the DAKAR in the history of this competition. The finish did not come easy however. The last 2 stages had become a nightmare for Latrach. Issues with the rear differential almost left the racers out of the competition and forced the drivers to do much of the stage only with front-wheel drive. It took till almost dawn to complete the bivouac. Luckily they managed to overcome the problems and managed to reach the finish in Buenos Aires.

"Today's stage was more of a formality, but the first two stages were very harsh to us, we first stopped to try to help Gabriel Peschiera having an electrical problem, unfortunately, despite all attempts we failed to fix it. Then came the problems in the differential. We had to run in front-wheel drive only, it became very complicated and we arrived late in the night to the final stage. Fortunately we managed to finish", stated Jorge Latrach. "We are very pleased with the achievements and I am very proud of my son," he concluded.
